Men are often misled by the symbolic gestures many modern, “liberated” women make. A liberated woman cannot be identified simply by the attitudes she professes. She also must be willing to look at her part of the responsibility for the problems of a relationship rather than act like a victim.

What a Woman Can Do

A liberated woman acts or initiates as spontaneously and fully as she reacts to what a man initiates. She’s clear in expressing what she wants and what bothers her. She doesn’t expect her mind to be read. She doesn’t treat her sexuality as a gift with which to reward or punish a man. A man in a relationship with an authentically liberated woman will know it by the ease, lack of self-consciousness, and absence of any pressure to be or act “like a man.”
